Help Desk Support Engineer
(Based Lincoln)
Candidates will need experience of first line support in a Service Desk environment.

* Resolving software, hardware and network issues
* Support bespoke multimedia applications
* Provide support for internal and external clients using the bespoke software
* Managing the requirements gathering process through to the eventual deployment of the application into the client
* Receiving external calls from customers and providing an effective support service
* IT Support tasks, participation in projects, advising on technical training, ensuring faults are assigned and escalated and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
* Verifying and solving problems
* Testing computer software
* Producing documentation

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

* A minimum of 2 years experience in a PC helpdesk/desktop support role is essential
* You must have strong Windows support skills
* You must have experience and currently be providing customer-facing support roll
* Candidates must have experience in software development, full project life cycle, experience in deploying multi-tier applications and must be comfortable with data exchange technologies
* Your personal skills should include strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to manage your time in order to hit tight deadlines combined with excellent client facing skills.

Customer Support Engineer

Job Description:

* Installation Support & configuration of our bespoke multimedia applications
* Resolving software, hardware and network issues
* Managing the requirements gathering process through to the eventual deployment of the application into the client premises
* Receiving external calls from customers and providing an effective support service at 3rd line level
* Participation in large projects
*Advising and delivering where necessary technical training
* Compliance and regression testing of our bespoke multimedia software applications
* Producing documentation as required
* Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

* A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
* You must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Windows
* Experience in deploying multi-tier applications is desired
*You should be comfortable with data exchange technologies, including LAN & WAN
* Your personal skills should include strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to manage your time in order to hit tight deadlines combined with excellent client facing skills.
*Work on customer premises is to be expected as part of this role and this will at times involve staying away from home
*A full driving licence is essential
